it looks as if it is growing out of the top of Grandma’s head or out of a cow, cat, house, etc.  Character vases meant to store cooking utensils are another great source.  I’ve even found decorative jars or canisters that make lovely and unique planters for houseplants.

     If cacti or succulents are the plant of your choice to can get away with a more shallow container like teacups, candy dishes and even goblets.  The main thing is to add a layer of gravel, sand or decorative rocks to the bottom to allow for drainage.

    Wooden bowls, brass containers, serving bowls, cookie jars, canisters, vases and many more found items can turn a houseplant into a one of a kind gift and will fit well into any budget.
